Supervisory assistance
The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority carries out inspections to ensure that companies meet the requirements of the Working Environment Act. The purpose of this is to contribute to increased focus on HSE and to check that companies have taken care of systematic HSE work in a good way. Serious violations can, in the worst case, lead to fines and suspension of the construction project.
Supervision can also come from the building authorities to ensure that companies comply with the Planning and Building Act. In the event of a breach of this, the worst-case scenario is that the company may lose its central approval or license to operate.
